MAIERS Online Sales Order Processing

Stroehmann bakeries are one of the largest bakeries in the Eastern Unites states. The Intranet online system was developed for the new bakeries, which were added to Stroehmann. During the project we were involved in the design, development, testing and debugging of the order processing system, which takes care of Daily, Prelim and 74 Hour orders.

Various users in different plant sites can access the system. Each user has different access levels. Users can enter the order details for different products, which will be updated and viewed by the users in the production plants. The system also has accounting Information and sales information for the selling plants. This application has an advanced search facility with which the user can search for a particular product's order information from different plants.

All the products and user information are stored as databases. We used Cold Fusion 4.0 for developing the application and HTML for developing the web pages. Embedded CFML tags were used to make the web pages interactive. We also used JavaScript for client side validations. The application was hosted on IIS 4.0 and Oracle 8.0 was used as the backend database.
