Project Details:
C-Hawk is a distributed PBX platform that provides for Voice and data traffic.
C-Hawk Systems
This is a Distributed platform of Legacy Components and newly converged IP devices. A Logical element, in C-Hawk, is a grouping of hardware and software that is maintained by the Maintenance software. Specifically for C-Hawk there are three main logical elements - the media gateway, the server, and the call controller element comprising call processing, and administration/maintenance software. During the project, our team:

  • Designed and developed Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and Digital Communication Protocol (DCP) Objects for system maintenance of C-Hawk distributed maintenance strategy.
  • Developed embedded C/C++ code under Sun Solaris with ClearCase and VxWorks for board/port activities like insert, remove, query and self test.
  • Developed embedded software to communicate to the gateway.
  • Used ClearCase tool to configure source code on real time updates across the development groups.
  • Used Message Queue for sending and receiving all the messages.
  • Used VxWorks for Real time project development and message handling.
  • Used Semaphores for multi-tasking. Extensively used WindSh, CrossWind (source level debugger), Browser, VxSim (Simulator) and Launch functionality of Tornado-2.
  • Developed the code in the simulated environment using VxSim and launched it on to the VxWorks target server.

Project Details:
Project Maya
This project involves registration of user data from different Lycos properties in a fast and efficient way. It helps to keep track of users with the user data used for ad targeting and having a single registration system for all the Lycos properties. It involves support of legacy account and achieves this by streaming. In this project, we:

  • Developed the MD5 hashing algorithm for creating LID (Lycos ID), used for authentication purpose - on SGI IRIX implemented in C.
  • Developed the Blowfish encryption algorithm for storing the user data in a secured way - on SGI IRIX implemented in C.
  • Developed the UDS (User Directory Server) Client Suites (on Linux) to test the UDS Emulator application running on IRIX - implemented in C++, Perl.
